IBI's forerunner, The Investment Bank of Ireland, was originally founded as a merchant banking joint venture between Bank of Ireland Group (60% stake), Morgan Grenfell (20% stake) and Schroders (20% stake). Today, IBI is a wholly-owned, independent subsidiary within the
